Creating a great wine is mainly determined by intangible and inexplicable factors. This insight has fascinated me right from the start. It is decisions from within that lead to success: spontaneity, pleasure in experimenting, curiosity, talent. I need not mention at this point how essential the work in vineyards and cellar is in this context. Everybody who knows our wines is aware that we pay respect not only to the finer nuances, but also to honest craftsmanship. Without intensive and hard work it is impossible to create the basis for perfectly shaping the living beverage that is wine. Viticulture has always been and always will be an adventure full of vagaries, surprises and changed schedules.

Not a walk in the park, but a wonderful journey.

PATIENCE.Good things donít come overnight. At least not those we expect to be permanent, consistent and mature. That is why we give our wine time to mature. And ourselves, too.

CHARACTER.We do not form the character of our wines, we reinforce it and focus on those characteristics we find valuable. Anything else would be superficial.

TECHNOLOGY. It accompanies vinification without dominating it. It provides efficiency, security, a clean environment and harmony in all steps of the way. Providing elegance is our job.

BALANCE. When grapes turn into wine, many factors have a strong influence: climatic conditions, the nature of the soil Ė and of course the hallmark of the vintner. To achieve harmonious balance is a great challenge. Year after year.
